Acommodation at the Hostel in Tbilisi

Assessment on the markets

Georgia is still a place where a big part of the production isn't industrialized. Big supermarket chains and malls are not yet dominating the country. So, if you want to get some food, fruits, souvenirs, alcohol or whatever you want - you should go to the market. It might be fairly complicated, but then even more exiting to navigate through the market rows for the people who are new to the city. We will advise you where to buy the best stuff your can get in Tbilisi for the best price and assist you on site if necessary.

Tusheti

The most hard to reach region in Georgia, Tusheti is a path less travelled and mostly untouched by tourism. On the border of Chechnya and Dagestan, you can only get there through the Abano pass, which is open from mid-July to October. The road is as hard as it is beautiful. You can only make it with well prepared 4x4 vehicule and an experienced driver. On the other side of the mountains that separate it from the rest of the world, Tusheti offers a surréal scenery of untouched nature and a rich historical heritage. Ancient defense towers and villages tucked in between impressive mountain views create such a unique atmosphere that you will find yourself wanting to come back over and over again.

Racha is a region nested between Letshkhumi, Imereti, South and North Osetia. Because it is not really well known ouside of Georgia, there are not a lot of tourists. Racha is divided into a lower and an upper regions, a mountainous part and the valley of Rioni river. Racha offers to the visitors it’s fascinating historical sites, georgeous mountains, forests and – surprisingly enough for a mountainous region - it’s wine.

Kakheti is one of the most famous regions of Georgia , well known for its wine production, old castles, churches, monasteries and ancient historical sites. Most of Kakhetian sightseeing’s are only a few hours drive from Tbilisi, which makes them very easy to reach. Kakheti was one of the centers of (the) Eastern Georgia. Lots of Georgian traditions have their roots and still flourish here.
